[VIRTUAL] Between the Bars: January

The secret codes embedded in the music

Repertoire: Paganini Caprice No. 13, excerpts from the Lark Ascending and some other demonstrations.

Musicians: Tien-Hsin Cindy Wu

About:
Composers often “play” with elements of music like how a child plays with lego. In many different creative ways, they sometimes “autograph” their pieces, recreate sounds they hear in the world, or portray friends and animals in their music. In this BTB workshop, Cindy takes you through the many secret codes composers have put into their music.

In case you are new to this:
New Asia Chamber Music Society’s Between the Bars is a monthly intimate workshop where we gather in unique venues, like our supporter’s living rooms, building lounges and more! It’s casual, it’s fun and a great opportunity to learn more about music. Each month we will feature a different theme and different artists who will bring music, stories, and ideas to the conversations. All workshops are specially curated for people from all backgrounds to learn, share, and connect.

Now more than ever, our incredible artists rely on your continued commitment as concerts around the globe are cancelled. Please consider to donate and support our musicians during this extremely difficult time. We are very grateful for your ongoing support of our peerless artists who bring us such joy and inspiration throughout the year.
