he Sakura Salon Concert is an intimate springtime gathering celebrating Japanese and East Asian musical traditions through chamber music, traditional instruments, and contemporary compositions. In celebration of the Lunar New Year, New Asia Chamber Music Society partners with the Museum of Chinese in America to present Strings of Fortune, a festive evening of classical string music. In commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the passing of Teresa Teng, legendary icon of Mandarin pop music, composer and pianist Winnie Yang has reimagined Teng’s beloved classics into elegant chamber music arrangements for piano and string quintet.
Titled after the acclaimed album Timeless Charm (永恆的魅力), released by Rhymoi Records in China, this concert blends lyrical beauty and classical refinement to pay heartfelt tribute to a timeless voice that continues to inspire generations.

The Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company and Flushing Town Hall reflect on the years past and pay tribute to the festival founder, Nai-Ni Chen. The event celebrates the vibrant AAPI arts community of Flushing, Queens, and since its inception, the festival has featured many emerging talents. This year, the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company will present the dances of Keerati Jinakunwiphat, Lenora Lee and the music of New Asia Chamber Music Society alongside Nai-Ni Chen’s work.

In 2024, New Asia CMS proudly presents its exceptional chamber music program, tailored for exceptionally talented young musicians specializing in strings, pianos, and flutes. This program runs from October 20, 2024 to Mar 15, 2024. Aspiring musicians can apply as individuals or pre-existing groups. Each accepted group will be paired with a distinguished artist from the New Asia CMS roster, serving as an ensemble member, providing leadership during rehearsals, and invaluable coaching as part of the faculty. These ensembles will have the opportunity to showcase their skills at the concluding concert on Mar 16, 2024, with the exciting possibility of performing at the prestigious New Asia CMS Annual Gala next year.
