The acclaimed Duo YUMENO will take a musical journey to reflect on the changing of the seasons with a diverse program including its commissioned works by American and Japanese composers.

New York based koto/shamisen player 𝐘𝐨𝐤𝐨 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐤𝐚𝐧𝐨 𝐊𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐫𝐚 and cellist 𝐇𝐢𝐤𝐚𝐫𝐮 𝐓𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢 create a singular fusion of sound, inspired by tradition but with a contemporary sensibility, exploring the dialogue between classical Japanese and western music. Their performances have been praised by the New York Times, New York Classical Review, and their activities have been featured in the media such as Chamber Music Magazine, the Japan Times, and NPR.

Between the Bars is a monthly, intimate workshop led by NACMS artists, offering our members a unique space to explore music in a relaxed and casual setting. Each session features a topic, chosen by our artists, who bring music, stories, and insights to the conversation. Designed for people of all backgrounds, these workshops provide a welcoming environment to learn, share, and connect—no prior musical experience required.
