What does Taiwan sound like to the world? In this special Artist Talk & Piano Performance, internationally acclaimed pianist Chun-Chieh Yen(嚴俊傑) invites audiences on a musical journey through the sounds and stories of Taiwan.
Presented by the New Asia Chamber Music Society (NACMS) in collaboration with Ya Ya Mandarin Seeds, this program uniquely integrates music, language, and storytelling in a family-friendly format.
The Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company and Flushing Town Hall reflect on the years past and pay tribute to the festival founder, Nai-Ni Chen. The event celebrates the vibrant AAPI arts community of Flushing, Queens, and since its inception, the festival has featured many emerging talents. This year, the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company will present the dances of Keerati Jinakunwiphat, Lenora Lee and the music of New Asia Chamber Music Society alongside Nai-Ni Chen’s work.
Sunkiss'd Mozart and NACMS present a unique program of "east meets west" with works that draw inspirations from glorious horse riding on the battlefield, a place with mysterious orange morning sky like fire from the angels, a documentary about a lost icon from a Taiwanese indigenous people, and traditional folk songs about the hard-working country life, puppy love, stormy days, and more.
